July 1st 2004, LEGATO releases a new version of its industry leading
heterogeneous backup product for OpenVMS.

LEGATO released NetWorker V6.0.1D Client & Storage Node for 
OpenVMS.
This includes:

Additional support for ODS-5 
New performance improvements that enable NetWorker to out perform 
VMS
backup for an entire system. 
Increased numbers of backup streams at one time. 
LEGATO also released NetWorker Module for Oracle V3.1 on OpenVMS:

Support for Oracle 8i & 9i using RMAN 
Support for Oracle Rdb 7.1.2.1.x and above using RMU


LEGATO is the only heterogeneous backup vendor to provide support 
for
OpenVMS, Oracle, and Rdb with direct backup to tape and/or disk,
enabling OpenVMS to share tape devices with UNIX, Linux and 
Windows.
