2. OpenVMS Itanium Support Announced -

PAWZ and FinIT Software Rental

Hi Sue,
During the OpenVMS bootcamp and Ambassadors roundhouse a 
number of
attendees asked if they could use our software for short duration of
time without buying it. Specially for a 2-3 weeks consulting, it is not
economical to buy the product. We do offer our software on a weekly
rental basis. Consultants/customers could rent the software for the
duration of consulting engagement. The process is also very simple. We
do have many HP sites which do rent it today (HP-Japan, HP-Spain,
HP-Canada, Ireland etc.). 

The rental offer is for all our products - Performance Management,
Capacity Planning and Asset Management. One product of very interest 
to
consultant was FindIT, (the only asset management software available 
on
OpenVMS) specially when they are doing a server consolidation or
hardware/software inventory, or license compliance engagement. 

Once installed FindIT will automatically provide information, such as, 
- hardware/software configuration, 
- serial number/model number,
- OS version
- installed and duplicate LMF, 
- available and used space
- least and most utilized servers
and much more.

New PL/I kit for OpenVMS - We have just put up a new kit for the
compiler as well as one for the RTL on our web site.  If you are
currently running Version 4.4 then you will only need the runtime.  If
you do not have a 4.4 license to the compiler or a 4.3 license to the
RTL and you wish to test out the compiler, you will find a temporary pak
at ftp://ftp.kednos.com/pub/misc/pak.zip

This fixes some problems relating to signal handling.  For more deatails

Since our last announcment, we have greatly improved the online
documentation providing it in HTML, pdf, ps and Bookreader formats.
Also we have included online documentation for Tru64 PL/I, which
conforms to the OpenVMS PL/I, full ANSI PL/I and IBM PL/I standards
