 Maybe you are interested in the following: A friend of mine and I have
written two scripts running on an OpenVMS-system (DCL and Perl) to 
fetch
mail from a POP mail server and delivering these mails via the generic
OpenVMS MAIL-system. These two scripts quite closely resemble the 
well
known fetchmail from the UNIX world and are in production use on 
FAFNER
(the VAX-7820) for almost three years now.  Both scripts are
downloadable from

and are easily installed and very reliable. Maybe these two scripts are
of some use for other OpenVMS hobbyists and enthusiasts, too?
