Dear Distribution Lists,
It has been a number of weeks since I have done an Updated VMS
Information so this is a long one, sorry about that. If you are new to
my distribution list I try to send this out on a regular basis but I
have been out of the office for a month or so. This is not an official
HP newsletter, it is just something I do. As a reminder, if you were
doing an article for the January VMS Technical Journal it was due
November 15.

Announcement: CSWS 2.1 for OpenVMS Alpha and I64
HP is pleased to provide you with Version 2.1, a new HP-supported,
customer release version of the HP Secure Web Server for OpenVMS
(based
on Apache).
Version 2.1 is based on Apache 2.0.52 and contains several new
features,
including support for suEXEC and mod_dav, and the lifting of the
STREAM_LF restriction present in Version 2.0.
Also announced today are new versions of PHP (CSWS_PHP 1.3), Perl

continuing Rdb 7.2 Beta Program. The field test of Oracle Rdb 7.2 is
available to run on OpenVMS Industry Standard 64 for HP Integrity
Servers and for OpenVMS for AlphaServer systems. The kits are
available
for download on the Rdb 7.2 Beta program web site

For this Beta update, we have refreshed the Rdb, DBMS, CDD, JDBC,
SQL/Services and Trace kits.
The Oracle Rdb Field Test Release 7.2 requires OpenVMS version 8.2

servers. Customers in the Beta program will be provided with an

Oracle expects to release Oracle Rdb Release 7.2 for production use
