You may have to scroll. I always enjoy reading Nina Buiks blog, it really shows how committed she is to the community. http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2008/11/11/hp_chases_mainframes/ HP missionaries convert 250+ mainframe shopsRegister - London, England, UK â026 HP's announcement of its mainframe takeouts is obviously keyed to the worsening economic situation and IBM's recent announcement of its System z10 Business Class entry mainframes, which debuted three weeks ago. While IBM has specialty engines on mainframes that lower the cost of supporting Linux, Java, and DB2 workloads compared to regular mainframe engines, the lower price still leaves a big gap, even on the new z10 BC boxes."Even when you move down to a Linux specialty engine, it is an order of magnitude more expensive than Linux on an Integrity machines," says Pickett. Moreover, the Integrity machine, in that it supports HP-UX, Linux, Windows, OpenVMS, and NonStop operating systems, can be pitched as a more open platform. Not everyone is convinced, of course. Most mainframe shops have their own prejudices and preferences, just like every other kind of shop out there. That's one reason why HP has been giving away a freebie NonStop-Integrity blade server to interested mainframe shops since June. A test drive is a key component to a sale.... *****************************************************The Golden Eggs Visual Configuration home is here:

Jonathan Walz and Hal Rottenberg are PowerShell experts who created www.PowerShellCommunity.org and PowerScripting Podcasts in order to promote the adoption and usage of PowerShell in the Windows community.

PowerShell support brings an array of capabilities for developers who need to integrate batch scheduling and process automation into their own applications. The JAMS-specific PowerShell host tightly controls scripts under JAMS. By hosting the PowerShell engine, JAMS provides a great deal of control over the applications.

The JAMS PowerShell Snap-in adds cmdlets to control QUEUES, ENTRYs, VARIABLES, TRIGGERS, TIMES, etc. The JAMS PowerShell Provider exposes JAMS objects as if they were file system objects, you can CD into a JAMS drive pointed to a remote heterogeneous machine and examine and manage all of the JAMS objects on that system.

"It's really great to see more and more companies adding PowerShell support to their products," states Jonathan Walz. "Looks like JAMS is well positioned in the job scheduling market."URL for more information http://www.mvpsi.com/PowerShell.aspx******************************************************CA CA is pleased to invite you to participate in the CA NSM System Monitoring Option for OpenVMS r3.2 Beta Program.
