Overall Experience: 07-09 Yrs. 
Position Description: Requirements of an RDB DBA: 

Location: MN
Duration: Long Term
Rate : OPEN

We are looking for a strong (5-10 years of experience) RDB DBA to plan,
coordinate, and administer RDB database on OpenVMS systems. The
candidate must be able to develop data models and perform planning of
architecture, functions, modules, and standards. Additional
qualifications include experience with Oracle on VMS systems. 

Mandatory Skills/Experience 
- Recent, in-depth, hands-on, related experience as an RDB DBA. 
- Hands-on experience on OpenVMS / Alpha platforms. 
- Experienced with design and programming the database operational,
backup, journaling restore and archiving procedures in a system that
requires and relies upon a lot of cross database data integrity and
constraint factors. 
- Hands-on experience with analyzing database dumps reverse 
engineering
to reconstruct the data in severe situations of database corruptions. 

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Very Desirable: DBA experience with Oracle. 
- OpenVMS clusters. 
- Digital Command Language (DCL). 
- OpenVMS capacity planning, performance management and system 
utility
tools.
