Dear Internal and External Distribution lists,

The customer has given the ok to share the attached note publicly.  As
you can see we have had experience in porting from VAX to Alpha with
success and more recently from Alpha to Integrity.  Both with high
customer satisfaction.

Since we will be moving offices this week (same building) there may be
some delay in response times.

        Just got an email about a successful project completion at work
and had 
to share.  If you all remember, we do 911 Dispatching software on Vax
and Alpha 
platforms.  We've had a team working on a Vax to Alpha upgrade for a
LARGE 
customer over the past year or two.  This one happened to be the 
version
of our 
software written entirely in Macro - the oldest system still in use, I
think. 
        They went live on Tuesday.  Total downtime to the users to swap
the 
hardware out from under the Macro system:  4 minutes.  No serious
problems, 
only a few cosmetic ones. 
        I'm not in a position to publicize this, but I think HP should
use 
stories like this to laude *their* products.
