EMEA OpenVMS Customer Conference
Sophia Antipolis, France October 17th and 18th. 2007
Hello OpenVMS friends,
BCS (Business Critical Servers) EMEA and HP-Interex EMEA are pleased to announce the second annual customer conference for Executives and IT Management responsible for OpenVMS based systems.
This one and half day event, which is open to all customers, will be the focal point to ensure that your customers get the latest news and information plus clarification and commitment directly from our worldwide team lead by Ann McQuaid , General Manager of OpenVMS. As a result we expect to use this event to secure our installed base of OpenVMS customers and to accelerate transition to Integrity.
We also will celebrate the 30th anniversary of OpenVMS!
Please take an action now to identify, invite and encourage your OpenVMS customers to attend this high profile event!
Use it to secure your installed base and take this opportunity to link your customers with their peers to ensure that OpenVMS continues for the next 30 years!
The details
Venue and dates
The conference will take place in the HP facility at Sophia-Antipolis, near Cannes, France on 17th and 18th October.
Hotel accommodation is being arranged in Cannes (see Logistics below). The Conference will close at approximately 13:00 on the 18th.
Attendees
Primarily the conference is aimed at end-users of OpenVMS who are in managerial/supervisory roles. Although a great deal will be covered in the 1.5 days, it will not go into deep technical detail. We also encourage System Integrators, ISVs and Channel Partners to attend. HP and Channel Partner Account Managers are welcome to accompany their customers.

Logistics
Accommodation for all attendees is available in the Hotel Majestic, Cannes for the nights of 16th and 17th October. The special conference rate is just under EUR200 per night (including taxes) for single room and breakfast. This rate is only available to attendees who register and request accommodation through the registration site. All attendees will need to provide credit card details to confirm accommodation.
Attendees will need to make their own way to the hotel on Tuesday 16th.
There will be a drinks reception in the hotel early evening as a `warm-up´. The later evening is available for own arrangements for dinner, and to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Cote d'Azur and the fascinating nightlife of Cannes.
HP will provide coaches from the hotel to HP, Sophia-Antipolis and back on Wednesday 17th. A full lunch will be provided that day. In the evening HP will provide and host a conference dinner in a Cannes restaurant which will also be a 30th birthday party for OpenVMS!
On Thursday 18th, coaches will be provided from the hotel to HP site. A buffet lunch or packed lunch will be offered, and coaches will leave at approximately 13:00 for Nice airport. One coach will return to Cannes for those staying for further days.
