2.0 OpenVMS Engineering Page:-

2.1 Retirement of Mozilla on OpenVMS

HP Secure Web Browser for OpenVMS (based on Mozilla) on Integrity and Alpha will be retired by February 2010. Alternative browsers available on OpenVMS are:

. HP Firefox Web Browser V2.0-18 based on Mozilla Firefox V2.0.0.18, available only on OpenVMS Integrity

. Secure Web Browser V1.1-12 based on Sea Monkey V1.1.12, available on both OpenVMS Integrity and Alpha

2.2 CSWS_PHP v2.1

CSWS_PHP V2.1 was released in August 2009 http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/ips/apache/csws_php.html . This version provides improved performance, enhanced GD extension, and enhanced session extension. It works with the HP Secure Web Server Version 1.3-1 and 2.1 and higher. It does not work with SWS Version 2.0

2.3 MDS600 Golden Egg

The latest Golden Eggs configuration of an OpenVMS cluster with the newly supported MDS600 SAS storage device for blades is available for your download at http://www.openvms.org/stories.php?story=09/08/19/6406765

2.4 HP SMH V2.0-20 Patch Release

System Management Homepage (SMH) for OpenVMS is a web-based system management solution to manage HP Integrity and Alpha servers running OpenVMS. It monitors system components (including CPU, Memory, System board, NIC, Storage, and Fan/Cooling devices), and reports system component status, hardware faults and system thresholds through an easy-to-use user interface for an individual server.SMH V2.0-20 patch release is an update to SMH V2.0-17 for Integrity servers only. This update addresses six known issues in SMH and adds two new features.

o Support for Settable Threshold Temperatures on Blade Systems.

o Support for SMH Recovery during Installation Disk Migration. While migrating Installation disk within the same system due to a disk failure or a backup, SMH on the new disk can be used directly without having to reinstall it.

Fixes for the known issues:

. HP SMH health agent uses a high amount of CPU or memory resources when the size of Operator Communications (OPCOM) log file, namely OPERATOR.LOG, is large.

. On cell-based systems, when a redundant power supply fails, it results in the generation of 5-6 SNMP traps every minute.

. On Integrity servers, HP SMH displays incorrect number of power sensors.

. On Integrity servers that support iCAP, HP SMH reports CPUs with disabled iCAP cores as "degraded". The status of a CPU containing a disabled iCAP core is now reported by HP SMH as "unknown", instead of "degraded".

. HP SMH fails to report information about fan in rx3600 and rx6600 systems, and the failure of any of these components does not generate SNMP traps.

. Network MAC address of the system running HP SMH ending with `F0´ to `FF´ causes HP SMH to timeout.

SMH for OpenVMS Software and documents can be downloaded from following locations:

2.5 Field test version of SSL T1.4 is now available for download!

http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/ssl/ssl.html
