Software Concepts International would like to make you aware of two recently released critical patch kits for OpenVMS Systems:
OpenVMS Mandatory Update (MUP)
On June 27, 2010 Hewlett-Packard (HP) released a Mandatory Update (MUP) kit for OpenVMS versions Alpha v7.3-2 and v8.3 and Integrity v8.3 and v8.3-1H1.  This MUP corrects a potential security vulnerability that has been identified with HP OpenVMS Auditing. The vulnerability could result in a local disclosure of information. A "Mandatory Update" should be installed by all customers.
Security Advisory for HP SSL v1.3 for OpenVMS
On June 16, 2010 the Hewlett-Packard (HP) Software Security Response Team announced that a potential security vulnerability has been identified with  HP SSL for OpenVMS. The vulnerabilities could be remotely exploited resulting in unauthorized data injection or a Denial of Service (DoS). The new version of HP SSL for OpenVMS should be installed by all customers running the affected versions.
